Combined facial surgery in Turkey from South Africa: one trip, one plan
Many people who look into a facelift find that more than one area bothers them: the jawline and neck, the eyelids, the brows. Treating several areas in one operation means one anaesthetic, one recovery and one long journey. This page explains the facial packages we arrange in İzmir and what South African patients should plan for.
In short: We arrange six facial packages, from a two-procedure upper-face package to full-face packages combining a facelift, neck lift, brow and eyelid surgery and, in one case, a lip lift. South Africans travel with an e-Visa via Istanbul to İzmir. A surgeon reviews your photographs and decides which combination, if any, is safe for you.

Why combine facial procedures?
The face does not age one area at a time. Loose skin along the jaw usually comes with changes in the neck, and a heavy brow often sits above heavy eyelids. Lifting one area can leave the next looking older by comparison, so combining lets the surgeon plan the face as a whole.
From South Africa there is a practical side too: one trip and one recovery instead of several. But a combined operation is longer and causes more swelling, and the surgeon decides what is safe based on your health and anatomy, never on the distance you have travelled.
The facial packages we arrange
Each package has its own South African page with candidacy and recovery details.
- Face rejuvenation mini package — deep plane facelift, neck lift and temporal lift, for the mid-face, jawline, neck and temples
- Upper face rejuvenation package — upper eyelid surgery with a temporal brow lift, for heavy lids and a low outer brow
- Lower face rejuvenation package — facelift and neck lift, for jowls, the jawline and the neck
- Full face rejuvenation package 1 — full facelift, neck lift, upper eyelid surgery and temporal lift
- Full face rejuvenation package 2 — deep plane facelift, neck lift, temporal lift, and upper and lower eyelid surgery
- Full face rejuvenation package 3 — as package 2, with a lip lift added
You do not have to choose a package. If a single procedure such as a facelift or a neck lift is all you need, the surgeon will say so. The UK overview of the packages is on the facial packages page, and all facial procedures are listed in our facial surgery guide for South African patients.
Who combined facial surgery suits
- People with signs of ageing in more than one area, such as jowls with a loose neck, or heavy eyelids with a low brow
- People in good general health who can safely have a longer anaesthetic
- Non-smokers, or people able to stop well before surgery
- People who want a refreshed version of their own face rather than a different one
If your concern is limited to one area, a single procedure is usually the better choice.
How long to stay, and the flight home
You meet the surgeon and have health checks and blood tests on arrival, before anything is confirmed. Between check-ups patients recover at Mandarin Grove near İzmir. Full face rejuvenation package 1, for example, is planned around a seven-night stay. More procedures mean more swelling, and the surgeon decides when you can fly.
- Book a return ticket you can change
- On the roughly ten-hour flight home, keep your head raised, walk the aisle and drink water
- Protect healing scars from strong South African sun
Cost, cover and follow-up
The cost depends on which procedures are combined, the technique and the length of your stay; your written plan sets out what is included. South African medical schemes generally do not cover elective cosmetic treatment abroad, and travel insurance usually excludes planned surgery.
Our treatment guarantee covers surgical treatment for one year: medical complications and any revision the treating team judges clinically necessary are treated in İzmir at no charge, though flights and accommodation are your own cost.
Follow-up continues by photograph, message and video call with the same team; Turkey is one hour ahead of South Africa. Keep your GP informed and take your operation notes home. See our clinic facts and complaints process.
What we will not do
We will not confirm a combined plan before a surgeon has reviewed you, we will not promise a result, and we will not add procedures because you have come a long way. If the safest plan is to do less, or to split treatment over two trips, we will say so.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have a facelift, neck lift and eyelid surgery in one operation?
Often, yes. Several of our packages combine exactly these procedures. The surgeon decides what is safe in one operation after reviewing your health, anatomy and the length of anaesthesia needed.
How long should I stay in Turkey for combined facial surgery?
It depends on the procedures combined and how you heal. Full face rejuvenation package 1, for example, is planned around a seven-night stay. The surgeon decides when you can fly, so book a return ticket you can change.
Is combining procedures riskier than having one?
A combined operation is longer and usually causes more swelling than a single procedure. That is why the surgeon assesses you first and will recommend fewer procedures, or two separate trips, if that is safer.
Do I have to choose one of the packages?
No. The packages are common combinations, not a requirement. If one procedure is enough for your concerns, the surgeon will recommend that instead.
Will my medical aid cover combined facial surgery?
South African medical schemes generally do not cover elective cosmetic surgery abroad, and standard travel insurance usually excludes planned surgery. Ask both specifically before you book.
