What patients most often praise
- Surgeons who decline or reduce a plan on medical grounds. Two such cases were reported in the UK press (Woman’s Own, 2016; Mirror, The Sun and Daily Mail, 2025), and several patients describe the same in their video interviews.
- In-person consultations in London and Manchester before travelling.
- Organised logistics: airport pick-up, pre-operative tests on arrival and transfers between hospital and accommodation.
- Recovery at Mandarin Grove, the patient retreat near Urla, with support staff on site.
- Returning patients. Many interviewees are on a second or third visit for a different procedure.
What critics have complained about
A minority of published reviews are negative, some dating back to 2014. The recurring themes are:
- Aftercare once the patient is home: slow or unclear replies when a problem appears after returning to the UK.
- Infection and wound problems, and who manages them once the patient has left Turkey.
- Who pays for a revision when a patient is unhappy with the result.
- Changes to the plan on the day: part of a planned procedure not performed, and how clearly that was explained and refunded.
- Food at the recovery accommodation, which some patients found too light for recovery.
What is in writing
The treatment guarantee is the written position on complications and revisions. In summary:
- Surgical and other treatments are guaranteed for one year from the date of treatment. The guarantee covers medical complications arising from the treatment and any revision that becomes clinically necessary as a result.
- Dental implants are guaranteed for one year from placement, and crowns and restorations for one year from fitting.
- Covered treatment is carried out in İzmir by the treating team at no charge. Flights and accommodation are the patient’s responsibility.
- It does not cover a preference for a different aesthetic result where the outcome is within the range discussed before treatment, problems caused by smoking or not following aftercare instructions, accidents, or treatment by another provider after returning home.
Each patient’s written treatment plan names the surgeon and the hospital, so their registration can be checked before travel. The surgeons and hospitals are listed on the clinic facts page.
How to raise a problem after treatment
- In a medical emergency in the UK, call 999 or NHS 111 first. Do not wait for a reply from Turkey.
- Contact the Revitalize team through the contact page with a description of the problem and photographs.
- Include any report from a UK doctor, dentist or GP who has examined you.
- The treating clinical team reviews the case and confirms whether it falls within the guarantee.
Questions people ask
Is Revitalize in Turkey legitimate?
Yes. It is a registered Turkish company, Tunçelli Turizm Ltd., based in Konak, İzmir, and has arranged treatment for British patients since 2004. Its surgeons are named on the clinic facts page, and treatment takes place in contracted private hospitals in İzmir.
Does Revitalize in Turkey have bad reviews?
Yes, a small share. The main themes are aftercare after returning home, infection management, who pays for revisions and changes to the surgical plan on the day. The reviews remain visible on the independent platforms.
Does Revitalize pay for revision surgery?
Where a revision is clinically necessary because of a medical complication within one year of treatment, the treatment is carried out in İzmir at no charge; travel and accommodation are the patient’s cost. A revision for a different aesthetic preference, where the result is within what was discussed beforehand, is not covered.
Is Revitalize a UK-regulated provider?
No. Treatment is delivered in Turkey under Turkish healthcare regulation. Consultations are held in London and Manchester, but the surgery itself is not regulated by the CQC.
Surgery carries risk and results vary between patients. Questions this page does not answer can be put to the team through an online consultation.
