Who should have an assessment?

What does squint surgery do?

The surgeon changes the position or tension of selected eye muscles to improve alignment. One or both eyes may need treatment. It may help double vision in selected cases, but does not automatically restore vision lost through amblyopia or remove the need for glasses.

Expected results and risks
