Temporal Lift Before and After: Benefits, Risks and Recovery
A temporal lift aims to raise the outer part of the eyebrow. When reviewing temporal lift before-and-after results, the useful question is how that change relates to your own brow position, eyelids and expectations. A photograph cannot predict your result. Start with our temporal lift treatment page for the procedure overview.
What can a temporal lift change?
A lateral brow lift may help when the outer brow has descended. It does not treat every cause of heaviness around the eyes or replace a full facelift. If excess eyelid skin is the main concern, eyelid surgery may be discussed separately. The surgeon needs to examine both brow and eyelid position before recommending an approach.
How to assess before-and-after photographs
Ask to see consented examples of the proposed operation and ask what each image actually shows. Use the consultation to clarify:
- Were the lighting, camera angle, head position and facial expression comparable?
- How long after surgery was the photograph taken?
- Was the temporal lift performed alone or with other procedures?
- Did the person have a similar starting brow position and concern?
- Where are the incisions, and can you discuss the healed scars as well as the front view?
A combined procedure can make it difficult to attribute a change to the temporal lift alone. Selected photographs are examples, not a measure of the likelihood of your own result. This article does not present a verified before-and-after case series.
Recovery and the timing of results
Early swelling and bruising can affect appearance. Wound healing and the settling of tissues take time, so an early photograph is not the final result. Follow the surgical team’s instructions for wound care, activity and review appointments. Your clinician should advise when work, exercise and flying are appropriate. Our temporal lift procedure and recovery guide explains the wider treatment journey.
Risks and questions for your surgeon
Potential risks include bleeding, infection, visible scars, hair loss around incisions, altered sensation, asymmetry and nerve injury affecting movement. Anaesthetic risks and possible revision surgery should also be discussed. Ask how the proposed incision and degree of lift suit your anatomy, what could remain unchanged, and how concerns will be managed after you return home. The ASPS brow lift safety guide outlines risks for the wider procedure family.
Your journey with Revitalize in Turkey
Revitalize in Turkey is an Izmir-based medical tourism company with more than two decades of experience supporting international patients. The Revitalize team helps from your first enquiry through your stay and communication after you return home.
Before travel, the team passes your medical history and goals to the relevant specialist, helps arrange a doctor video consultation where appropriate, and provides a personalised written plan and quotation. Review the medical specialists and ask who will perform your operation. The hospital information helps you discuss where treatment will take place. Surgery and clinical decisions remain with your treating medical team.
Your agreed arrangements can include a private driver meeting you at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, transfers for hospital and review visits, and English-speaking support during your stay. At Mandarin Grove in Urla, Revitalize offers private accommodation, breakfast and dinner, and round-the-clock practical support. Accommodation support does not replace clinical care.
After you return home, the team can relay requested updates and photographs to your doctor and help arrange further communication. Read how recovery and aftercare support works, or explore upcoming UK meeting opportunities. Confirm the services included in your own written plan.
Patient experiences and ratings
Our patient reviews and patient videos provide perspectives on communication, travel and care across different treatments. Check the procedure and date behind each account. General company ratings do not establish a temporal lift success rate.
Frequently asked questions
Will my result look like a photograph I bring?
A photograph can help explain your preferences. Your surgeon must assess whether those changes are appropriate for your anatomy; matching someone else’s result cannot be promised.
Does a temporal lift remove excess eyelid skin?
It addresses the outer brow. Excess eyelid skin may need a separate assessment, and eyelid surgery is a different procedure.
Is the result permanent?
The operation does not stop ageing. The extent and duration of the change vary, and further treatment may be considered in the future.
When can I judge the outcome?
Discuss the review schedule with your surgeon. Early swelling can distort appearance; healing and settling continue beyond the first postoperative photographs.
How do I request an assessment?
Follow the Revitalize treatment process to share your concerns and relevant history with the team for specialist assessment and an individual plan.

Compare a temporal-lift example with the proposed package scope
The Upper Face Rejuvenation Package lists temporal lift and upper-eyelid surgery. Browse facial combination packages for the wider options. A temporal-lift photograph alone cannot demonstrate the result of an entire combination; ask which procedures and follow-up interval each example represents.
Read about Revitalize, why patients choose our support and the steps from enquiry to treatment. The treatment guarantee terms and exclusions should be read with your individual plan; they do not promise a particular appearance.
