For patients in South Africa
Anti-Ageing Treatments in Turkey from South Africa: skin quality without surgery
Non-surgical anti-ageing treatments focus on the quality of the skin and hair rather than changing the shape of the face. They aim at fine lines, dryness, loss of firmness, a dull complexion and thinning hair. This guide, written for patients travelling from South Africa, explains the options we arrange in İzmir, what each involves and where their limits are.
In short: The main options are Jalupro V Lift, Jalupro Young Eye, the HA PB 2.0 skin booster, hydrafacial, hair PRP and NAD IV therapy. Most are outpatient with little downtime, and many need maintenance sessions. They can complement surgery but do not replace it for advanced ageing, and results vary.

The treatments
Each link goes to the South African guide where one exists, with the full treatment page in brackets. For skin conditions, see our skin treatments guide for South African patients.
Skin boosters
- Jalupro V Lift — amino acids and hyaluronic acid injected for mild to moderate laxity of the face or neck; it does not add volume, takes about 20 to 30 minutes and normal activities usually resume the same day (full treatment page)
- Jalupro Young Eye — superficial micro-injections under the eyes for fine lines and a tired look; mild puffiness for a day or two is common (full treatment page)
- HA PB 2.0 — a skin booster combining hyaluronic acid and polynucleotides for dehydrated or ageing skin on the face, neck and chest, usually given as a course of sessions
- Collagen booster injection — an injection offered to support the skin’s own collagen (full treatment page)
Skin surface
- Hydrafacial — cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration with a specialised device, with no downtime (full treatment page)
Hair and wellness
- Hair PRP — platelet-rich plasma from your own blood injected into the scalp for early to moderate thinning; a session takes about 45 to 60 minutes. For established hair loss, see our hair transplant guide
- NAD IV — a slow infusion over one to three hours, offered as wellness support; see the recovery boosters guide below (full treatment page)
The full overview is on the anti-ageing treatments page. Related guides: facial treatments, non-invasive skin treatments and recovery boosters.
Combining treatments
Plans are built after a medical assessment, not from a fixed menu. Common pairings are a skin booster with a hydrafacial, or under-eye treatment alongside general skin work. The doctor decides what can be done in one visit and what needs spacing. Results vary from person to person, and none of these treatments is a substitute for medical care.
Limits and risks
None of these treatments is permanent; most need maintenance sessions. They may delay or complement surgery, but they do not replace a facelift or eyelid surgery for advanced ageing; see our facial surgery guide if that is the question. Risks are usually minor, such as bruising, swelling, temporary discomfort and, rarely, allergic reactions or infection, which is why a doctor should be in charge.
Planning the trip from South Africa
- Flights: direct flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town to Istanbul take around ten hours, followed by a short domestic flight to İzmir
- Visa: South Africans apply for an e-Visa online before travelling; see the e-Visa guide
- Is the trip worth it? a long-haul journey only for a short non-surgical session is hard to justify; these treatments usually make sense when you are already coming to Turkey for another planned treatment
- Time difference: İzmir is one hour ahead of South Africa, which keeps follow-up calls simple
- Sun: strong South African sun works against skin treatments, so plan sun protection for the weeks afterwards
- Cover: South African medical schemes generally do not cover elective treatment abroad, and standard travel insurance usually excludes planned treatment; check with both before you book
Follow-up at home
After you return, the same team follows up by message, photograph and video call. Under our treatment guarantee, medical complications arising from the treatment, and any revision that becomes clinically necessary, are covered for one year from the date of treatment; flights and accommodation for any repair remain your own cost, and the guarantee does not cover a preference for a different aesthetic outcome. Facts about the clinic are on the clinic facts page, and if something goes wrong you can use our complaints process.
What we will not do
We will not start treatment before a doctor has assessed you, we will not promise to turn back the clock, and we will not sell a long course of sessions that a short trip from South Africa cannot sensibly complete.
Frequently asked questions
Are anti-ageing treatment results permanent?
No. Most treatments need maintenance sessions to keep the effect, and how long it lasts varies from person to person.
Can these treatments replace a facelift?
No. They may delay or complement surgery, but they do not replace it when ageing is advanced. The doctor will tell you honestly which approach fits.
How long do I need to stay in Turkey?
Many treatments are outpatient and can be done within a few days, depending on the plan. Treatments given as a course of sessions are harder to fit into one trip from South Africa.
Are these treatments suitable for men?
Yes. All the treatments on this page are used by both men and women.
Will my medical aid cover anti-ageing treatment?
South African medical schemes generally do not cover elective cosmetic treatment abroad, and standard travel insurance usually excludes planned treatment. Check with both before you book.
