Hair Transplant in Turkey: Assessment, Limits and Risks

Hair transplantation in Turkey moves a patient’s own hair follicles from a donor area to selected recipient areas. It does not create new follicles, stop all future hair loss or guarantee density, coverage or a particular hairline.

Diagnosis and suitability

Assessment should identify the cause and pattern of hair loss, donor supply, scalp health, age, medicines, health and expectations. Some causes require medical treatment or investigation rather than transplantation. A long-term plan should consider future loss outside the transplanted area.

Techniques and planning

Follicular-unit extraction and strip harvesting obtain grafts differently and create different scars. Implantation method, graft handling and hairline design should be explained by the clinician responsible for surgery. Marketing labels and graft-count promises are not substitutes for diagnosis and consent.

Risks

Risks include bleeding, infection, swelling, pain, numbness, scarring, temporary shedding, poor growth, unnatural direction or hairline, donor-area thinning, cysts, dissatisfaction and further surgery. Results develop gradually and vary between patients.

Revitalize care checks

Confirm the named contracted clinician and facility, who performs each surgical step, diagnosis, technique, donor plan, proposed graft range, medicines, written quotation, follow-up and complication route. See Revitalize’s FUE information, named doctors and assessment route.
