Signature Mommy Makeover Package in Turkey from South Africa: a plain guide
The Signature Mommy Makeover Package combines a tummy tuck, a breast augmentation and a breast uplift. It is the most extensive of the makeover packages, because it treats both lost volume and lost support in the breast, alongside repair of the abdomen. For the wider picture, read our mummy makeover guide for South Africans.
In short: The Signature package is a tummy tuck, a breast augmentation and a breast uplift, usually done in one operation under general anaesthesia. It has the longest operation and the most demanding recovery of the makeover packages. The surgeon decides when you are fit to fly home.

What the package combines
It brings together:
- Tummy tuck — loose skin removed and separated muscles tightened; see our tummy tuck guide
- Breast augmentation — volume added with silicone or saline implants, or sometimes your own fat; see our breast augmentation guide
- Breast uplift (mastopexy) — skin removed, tissue reshaped and the nipple raised; see our breast lift guide
The full details are on the Signature Mommy Makeover Package page, and other packages are listed in our body contouring guide.
Who it suits
It may suit you if you have:
- Loose abdominal skin or separated muscles after pregnancy
- Breasts that have lost both volume and position
- Finished having children, good health and a stable weight
It gives the most complete change, at the cost of the longest operation. If your breasts have dropped but you do not want them fuller, the Standard package is enough; if they have lost volume but not position, look at the Enhancement package.
How the operation is done
All three procedures are usually done in one session under general anaesthesia, when medically appropriate, and the operation takes several hours. The surgeon decides whether all of it is safe together; a staged plan would mean a second trip from South Africa. It does not include liposuction.
How long to stay, and the flight home
Treatment is in İzmir, reached by a direct flight of about ten hours from Johannesburg or Cape Town to Istanbul and a short domestic hop; you need an e-Visa. The surgeon decides when you are fit to fly back. After the longest of the makeover operations, expect more checks before you fly. A combined operation and a long-haul flight both raise the risk of blood clots, so expect a longer stay than for a single procedure and book a changeable return ticket. Precautions generally include:
- Your compression garment and any stockings you are given
- An aisle seat, walking regularly and drinking water
- Telling us early about any history of clots, smoking or hormone medication
Recovery once you are home
Expect swelling, bruising and tightness at first. Wear compression garments, walk gently and avoid strenuous activity; daily life returns gradually over several weeks. Expect several weeks of limited lifting, which is hard with young children, so plan for it before you book. Arrange help at home before you travel.
Follow-up continues by photograph, message and video call; Turkey is one hour ahead of South Africa. Our treatment guarantee covers medical complications and clinically necessary revisions for one year from treatment. Keep your GP informed and take your operation notes home.
What decides the cost
Pricing is transparent, and the detail of the combination decides the cost. Ask any provider to confirm in writing:
- Which type of tummy tuck is planned
- The implant brand, type and size, and the implant card you take home
- Blood tests, hospital nights, accommodation, transfers and garments
South African medical schemes generally do not cover cosmetic surgery, so check with your scheme; travel insurance usually excludes planned surgery abroad. Our surgeons are board-certified; see our clinic facts.
What we will not do
We will not confirm a plan before a surgeon has reviewed you, promise a result, or put more into one operation than the surgeon judges safe. A long journey is no reason to add procedures to an already long operation. Our complaints process is public.
Frequently asked questions
Why choose the Signature package over the Enhancement package?
Because implants alone do not lift a breast that has dropped. The Signature package adds an uplift, so it treats both lost volume and lost position.
How long after the operation can I fly home to South Africa?
The surgeon decides. A combined operation and a ten-hour flight both raise the risk of blood clots, so plan a longer stay than for a single procedure.
Is recovery harder than with the other packages?
Usually, yes. It is the longest of the makeover operations, and lifting small children waits several weeks until the surgeon clears you.
When is the right time for a mummy makeover package?
Once you have finished having children and breastfeeding, and your weight is stable; a later pregnancy can undo the result.
Will my medical aid cover the package?
South African medical schemes generally do not cover cosmetic surgery, and travel insurance usually excludes planned surgery abroad. Check both before you book.
