Facelift in Turkey: what decides the cost in 2026

What a facelift in Turkey costs depends on the surgeon, the technique, what the quote includes and the week around the operation. We do not publish a headline figure, because a figure given before a surgeon has assessed your face is a guess. Here is what decides the price, how to compare quotes, and how to get a written price for your own case.

What decides the price

• The surgeon. Experience and specialism in facial surgery matter more than anything else on a quote. Your plan names a board-certified surgeon.
• The technique and extent of surgery. A deep plane, SMAS or mini facelift involves different depths of surgery and theatre time.
• Combined procedures. Adding a neck lift, eyelid surgery, brow lift or fat transfer to the same operation. Ask for separate itemised quotations; combining procedures does not guarantee a lower total cost.
• Hospital and nights. The hospital, theatre time and how many nights you stay.
• Anaesthesia. The type of anaesthesia and the anaesthetist’s care.
• Tests. Pre-operative blood tests and the anaesthetic assessment.
• Recovery accommodation. Plan on being in Turkey for roughly a week to ten days.
• Transfers. Airport, accommodation and hospital transfers.
• Garments and medication. Dressings, garments and take-home medication.
• Aftercare and follow-up. Post-operative checks and stitch removal before you fly, and support once you are home.
• Guarantee. How complications and any revision are handled, and in writing.

Why a cheap headline price can cost more

A facelift in İzmir costs less than the same operation in central London, and the difference is not a discount on the surgery. It comes from what it costs to run a hospital, employ staff and rent theatre time in İzmir, and from the exchange rate. It does not come from using a less qualified surgeon. A headline price that is dramatically lower usually reflects one of three things: a less experienced surgeon, or one not named until you arrive; exclusions you pay for separately, such as the neck, hospital nights, accommodation or follow-up; or no provision for complications, so a revision is paid for again. That is where you should start asking what has been left out.

What our written plan includes

Your written plan names your board-certified surgeon and the hospital, and sets out the proposed procedure, tests, hospital stay, accommodation, transfers and aftercare, so you know exactly what is included before you book. • Recovery at Mandarin Grove, our own retreat. Instead of a standard hotel room, you recover at Mandarin Grove in Urla, İzmir: private ensuite rooms, freshly cooked meals every day and English-speaking support around the clock. Our experienced team keeps a close eye on you, and even a small concern is reported straight to your medical team so it can be dealt with as quickly as possible. A companion can stay with you, and the beach is about five minutes away.
• Airport transfers and transport to your appointments, so you never have to find your own way to the hospital.
• Personal care in hospital. English-speaking chaperones and carers support you 24/7 during your hospital stay.
• Follow-up after you go home. Our post-operative backup scheme keeps in touch with you through your recovery, and you can attend our in-person UK meetings for post-operative checks.
• A one-year treatment guarantee. Your treatment is guaranteed for one year from the date of treatment, covering medical complications arising from it and any revision that becomes clinically necessary as a result. How to compare quotes like for like

Compare written, like-for-like quotations rather than headline figures. Two quotes that look far apart can be identical once you list what each contains. Get each provider to confirm in writing whether the price includes:

• The named surgeon and facility, and the exact technique
• Pre-operative blood tests and anaesthetic assessment
• The surgeon’s fee, the anaesthetist and theatre time
• Hospital nights and who stays with you
• Accommodation, and for how many nights, before and after surgery
• Airport and hospital transfers
• Medication, dressings and garments
• Post-operative checks and stitch removal before you fly
• Translation, if the surgeon does not consult in English
• The arrangements for complications or revision

The costs that sit outside the quote

• Flights for you, and for anyone travelling with you.
• Time off work. A facelift is not a long-weekend procedure. Plan on being in Turkey for roughly a week to ten days and on not looking presentable for a while after that.
• Travel insurance that does not exclude planned surgery abroad — most standard policies do. Ask specifically.
• A contingency. If you cannot comfortably absorb an extra week of accommodation or a changed flight, the budget is too tight.

What we will not do to make the price look better

We will not quote a facelift before a surgeon has assessed you, we will not promise a result, and we will not proceed if the surgeon judges you are not a suitable candidate — several patients in our video interviews describe exactly that conversation. Cheapness is a poor reason to choose a surgeon and a worse reason to choose a country.

Is there a fixed price for a facelift?

No. Your price is confirmed in writing after a free online consultation, once a surgeon has reviewed your case. The written quotation should specify the proposed procedure, named healthcare providers, included services, exclusions and how long the quotation remains valid.

Does a facelift quote include a neck lift?

Do not assume it does. Ask for each proposed procedure to be listed separately so you can compare the same scope across quotations.

What if I need extra accommodation or follow-up?

Ask who arranges it, what is included and what you would pay separately. Confirm the contact route after returning to the UK and the written terms for additional care.
