A tummy tuck, medically known as Abdominoplasty, is one of the most effective procedures for restoring a firmer, flatter, and more contoured abdominal appearance by addressing excess skin, stubborn fat, and weakened abdominal muscles.

A tummy tuck in Turkey starts from £3,400.Most patients fly home after 5–7 days, with their final results becoming visible over the following months and long-lasting, provided a stable weight is maintained.

THE PROCEDURE

What is a tummy tuck?

A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen while tightening the underlying abdominal muscles to create a flatter, firmer, and more contoured midsection.

Unlike treatments that only target surface skin or fat, a modern tummy tuck also repairs weakened or separated abdominal muscles (diastasis recti), restoring the strength and contour of the abdominal wall. The procedure can effectively address loose skin following pregnancy or significant weight loss, stubborn fat deposits, and muscle laxity in a single operation.

At Revitalize in Turkey, every tummy tuck is tailored to your individual anatomy, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals. Our experienced surgeons combine advanced surgical techniques with personalised care, offering outstanding results alongside the exceptional value and hospitality that have made Turkey a leading destination for cosmetic surgery.

SUITABILITY

Are you a candidate for tummy tuck?

A tummy tuck may be right for you if you:

  • Have loose or excess skin on the abdomen following pregnancy or significant weight loss

  • Experience separated abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) or weakened abdominal support

  • Are close to your ideal weight and able to maintain a stable weight after surgery

  • Are in good general health and a non-smoker, or able to stop before surgery

  • Have realistic expectations about the results and recovery

Candidacy is always confirmed after a medical review of your medical history, photos, and goals. If a full tummy tuck isn’t necessary, we’ll honestly recommend a less extensive procedure, such as a mini tummy tuck or liposuction, where appropriate.

RECOVERY

Tummy tuck recovery timeline

Days 1–3: Rest with your upper body slightly elevated and avoid standing fully upright to reduce tension on the incision. Swelling and discomfort are at their highest during this period, and your dressings and any drains are monitored by our nursing team.

Days 4–7: Drains (if used) are removed, and you’ll become more mobile while continuing to wear your compression garment. Most patients are comfortable enough to fly home after 5–7 days, subject to the surgeon’s approval.

Weeks 2–6: Swelling gradually subsides, and everyday activities can be resumed progressively. Light walking is encouraged, but strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, and core workouts should be avoided until cleared by your surgeon.

Months 3–6: The abdomen continues to settle into its final shape, scar appearance improves, and any remaining swelling resolves. With a stable weight and healthy lifestyle, the results are long-lasting.

SAFETY FIRST

Risks & safety

A tummy tuck is a well-established procedure, but like any surgery, it carries risks, which we discuss openly during your consultation. These can include swelling, bruising, temporary numbness, fluid collection (seroma), delayed wound healing, and — more rarely — bleeding, infection, blood clots, or changes in skin sensation.

We minimise these risks by performing a comprehensive pre-operative health assessment, using meticulous surgical techniques, and providing structured support with 24/7 access to our medical team throughout your stay. Your surgeon will explain your individual risk profile in detail and provide personalised guidance to support a safe recovery.
