Upper-Lid Blepharoplasty in Turkey: Assessment and Risks
Upper-lid blepharoplasty in Turkey removes or repositions selected eyelid skin and, when appropriate, fat. It may be considered for appearance or when excess skin affects the visual field, but symptoms require proper eye assessment rather than a package promise.
Assessment
The surgeon should review eyelid position, brow position, dry eye, vision, previous eye surgery, medicines, smoking and health. A visual-field test or ophthalmic opinion may be appropriate when function is affected. Brow droop, ptosis and dermatochalasis are different problems and may need different treatment.
Risks and recovery
Risks include bleeding, infection, dry or watery eyes, difficulty closing the eye, asymmetry, visible scarring, altered sensation, eyelid-position change and revision. Rare complications can threaten sight and require urgent care. Bruising, swelling, travel, work and final appearance vary; only the treating team can give an individual timeline.
