Risks and recovery

Risks include bleeding, infection, dry or irritated eyes, asymmetry, scarring, altered eyelid position, difficulty closing the eye, double vision, vision loss, anaesthetic complications, dissatisfaction and revision. Recovery and final appearance vary, so a fixed timetable or result cannot be promised.
