RECOVERY
Facial implant surgery recovery timeline
Days 1–3: Rest with your head elevated to help minimise swelling. Mild discomfort, swelling, bruising, and tightness around the treated area are normal. The exact recovery will vary depending on whether your procedure involves the chin, cheeks, jawline, or a combination of facial implants.
Days 4–7: Swelling and bruising begin to improve, although the treated area may still appear fuller than the final result. Most patients feel comfortable enough to fly home after 5–7 days, subject to their surgeon’s approval.
Weeks 2–6: Most swelling gradually subsides, allowing your new facial contours to become more defined. Normal daily activities can usually be resumed within 1–2 weeks, while strenuous exercise and activities that could impact the face should be avoided until cleared by your surgeon.
