What affects the price?
- Cosmetic goals versus functional visual symptoms.
- Skin, fat, muscle, brow and eyelid-position findings.
- Upper, lower or combined blepharoplasty.
- Tests, anaesthesia, facility and planned stay.
- Reviews, medicines and complication arrangements.

Assessment, risks and alternatives
Eye health, dry-eye symptoms, medicines, smoking and eyelid position should be reviewed before surgery. Risks include bleeding, infection, dry or irritated eyes, poor eyelid closure, asymmetry, scarring, eyelid-position change, visual disturbance and further treatment. Alternatives can include no procedure or non-surgical treatment for selected concerns, but each has different limits.
