Breast augmentation cost should be based on an individual surgical plan. Generic UK averages or dated price tables do not show whether two quotations include the same surgeon, implant, hospital, anaesthesia, follow-up or complication arrangements.

Assessment and implant plan

The surgeon should assess breast and chest anatomy, skin, asymmetry, health, medicines, smoking, pregnancy plans and expectations. Discuss implant manufacturer, size, shape, surface, placement, incision, alternatives and whether a lift or another procedure is being proposed.

Comparing quotations

Request a written breakdown identifying the named contracted surgeon and hospital, implant details, exact operation, anaesthesia, tests, medicines, garments, accommodation, transfers, follow-up, exclusions and complication care. Confirm future monitoring and what happens if an implant or result requires further treatment.

Risks and long-term considerations

Risks include bleeding, infection, scars, altered sensation, asymmetry, implant rupture or displacement, capsular contracture, dissatisfaction and revision. Implants are not lifetime devices, and a particular cup size or appearance cannot be promised.
