What the technique involves

A deep-plane approach releases and repositions selected deeper facial tissues. The term is used with some variation, so the surgeon should explain the actual dissection, incision placement, neck treatment and why it is proposed rather than another facelift method.

Risks and recovery

Risks include bleeding, infection, fluid collection, nerve injury, altered sensation, hairline or skin changes, visible scars, asymmetry, blood clots, anaesthetic complications and revision. Swelling, return to work, travel and longevity vary. A premium price does not guarantee safety, confidence or a longer-lasting result.
