Cosmetic Surgery Insurance: Find the Right Plan
Cosmetic surgery insurance is not a single standard product. Policies differ by country, provider, procedure and medical history. Revitalize does not claim to supply or guarantee third-party insurance cover; patients who consider a policy should obtain current written terms directly from a regulated provider they independently select.
Start with the exclusions
A policy name or marketing summary is not enough. Check whether elective treatment abroad, complications, cancellation, extended accommodation, return travel, revision treatment and pre-existing conditions are included or excluded. Confirm any excess, limit, waiting period and prior-authorisation rule.
Questions to ask in writing
- Is my exact planned procedure and destination eligible?
- Which complications are covered, and for how long?
- Does cover apply to emergency treatment only or also planned follow-up?
- Are travel changes, companion costs or repatriation included?
- Must the provider approve care before costs are incurred?
- What documents and deadlines apply to a claim?
Insurance does not replace clinical safeguards
Before booking, confirm the named Revitalize contracted surgeon and hospital, the proposed operation, material risks, expected follow-up and urgent contact route. A third-party policy cannot make an unsuitable treatment suitable and should never delay emergency care.
Keep a complete record
- Your Revitalize treatment proposal and written quotation.
- The named surgeon, contracted hospital and aftercare contacts.
- Relevant medical declarations and correspondence.
- Any independently purchased policy wording and confirmation.
- Travel bookings, invoices and receipts.
Avoid guarantees
No general article can confirm that a future claim will be paid or that all follow-up costs will be covered. Do not rely on phrases such as “full protection,” “no extra cost” or “peace of mind” without checking the binding policy wording and exclusions.
For Revitalize treatment planning, review how Revitalize works and use the official contact route for current surgeon, hospital and aftercare information.
