Buttock Lift Surgery in Turkey

A buttock lift is one of the most effective surgical procedures for restoring a firmer, more lifted, and better-contoured buttock appearance by removing excess skin and reshaping the surrounding tissues. It is particularly beneficial for patients with sagging buttocks following significant weight loss or age-related loss of skin elasticity.

A buttock lift in Turkey starts from £3,400. Most patients fly home after 5–7 days, with their final results becoming visible over the following months and long-lasting, provided a stable weight is maintained.

THE PROCEDURE

What is buttock lift?

A buttock lift removes excess skin and reshapes the underlying tissues to create firmer, more lifted, and better-contoured buttocks. It is designed to improve the position and appearance of sagging buttocks rather than increase their size.

Unlike non-surgical skin tightening treatments, a buttock lift physically removes loose, excess skin that cannot be improved through diet or exercise alone. The procedure is particularly effective for patients who have experienced significant weight loss or age-related skin laxity, restoring a smoother, more youthful buttock contour. Where additional volume is desired, a buttock lift can also be combined with fat grafting (BBL) or buttock implants.

At Revitalize in Turkey, every buttock lift is tailored to your individual anatomy, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals. SUITABILITY

Are you a candidate for buttock lift?

A buttock lift may be right for you if you:

  • Have sagging or loose skin around the buttocks following significant weight loss or ageing

  • Feel your buttocks have lost their shape, firmness, or youthful position

  • Want a firmer, more lifted buttock contour without necessarily increasing volume

  • Are close to your ideal weight and able to maintain a stable weight after surgery

  • Are in good general health and a non-smoker, or able to stop before surgery

  • Have realistic expectations about the results and recovery

Candidacy is always confirmed after a medical review of your medical history, photos, and goals.

RECOVERY

Buttock lift recovery timeline

Days 1–3: Rest as much as possible and avoid excessive sitting or pressure on the buttocks to reduce tension on the incisions. Mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising are expected during this period, and your dressings and any drains (if used) will be monitored by our nursing team.

Days 4–7: If drains have been placed, they are usually removed during this period. You’ll gradually become more mobile while continuing to wear your compression garment. Most patients are able to fly home after 5–7 days, subject to their surgeon’s approval.

Weeks 2–6: Swelling continues to improve, and you can gradually return to light daily activities. Strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, running, and lower body workouts should be avoided until your surgeon confirms it is safe to resume them. Sitting for prolonged periods should still be limited during the early stages of recovery.

Months 3–6: The buttocks continue to settle into their new shape, scars gradually soften and fade, and any remaining swelling resolves. With a stable weight and healthy lifestyle, your results are long-lasting.

SAFETY FIRST

Risks & safety

A buttock lift is a well-established procedure, but like any surgery, it carries risks, which we discuss openly during your consultation. These can include swelling, bruising, temporary numbness, fluid collection (seroma), delayed wound healing, and — more rarely — bleeding, infection, blood clots, wound separation, or changes in skin sensation.

We minimise these risks by performing a comprehensive pre-operative health assessment, using meticulous surgical techniques, and providing structured aftercare with 24/7 access to our medical team throughout your stay. Your surgeon will explain your individual risk profile in detail and provide personalised guidance to support a safe recovery.

ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

What is a buttock lift?

A buttock lift is a body contouring procedure that removes excess skin and reshapes the surrounding tissues to create firmer, smoother, and more lifted buttocks. It is commonly performed after significant weight loss or when ageing has caused the buttocks to sag.

How is a buttock lift different from a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)?

A buttock lift removes excess skin and lifts sagging tissue but does not significantly increase buttock volume. A BBL enhances volume by transferring your own fat into the buttocks. In some cases, both procedures can be combined for optimal shape and fullness.

Who is a good candidate for a buttock lift?

The best candidates are patients with loose, sagging skin around the buttocks caused by major weight loss, ageing, or reduced skin elasticity. You should be close to your ideal weight, in good general health, and have realistic expectations.

Will a buttock lift make my buttocks bigger?

A buttock lift primarily improves shape and position rather than size. If you would like additional volume, your surgeon may recommend combining the procedure with a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) or buttock implants.

Will I have visible scars?

Yes. A buttock lift requires incisions to remove excess skin, so scars are unavoidable. Your surgeon will place them as discreetly as possible, usually where they can be concealed beneath underwear or swimwear. They will gradually soften and fade over time.

How long is the recovery?

Most patients are able to walk the day after surgery and return to light daily activities within 2–3 weeks. Strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, and prolonged sitting should be avoided for approximately 4–6 weeks or until your surgeon advises.

Will I need to wear a compression garment?

Yes. A compression garment is typically worn for several weeks to reduce swelling, support healing, and help achieve the best possible contour.

When will I see my final results?

You'll notice an immediate improvement in the shape and position of your buttocks, but swelling can temporarily affect the appearance. Final results are usually visible within 3–6 months.

Are the results permanent?

The excess skin removed during a buttock lift will not return. Maintaining a stable weight and healthy lifestyle will help preserve your results for many years, although natural ageing will continue.

Can a buttock lift be combined with other procedures?

Yes. A buttock lift is commonly combined with a tummy tuck, thigh lift, lower body lift, liposuction, or a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) as part of a comprehensive body contouring plan, particularly following significant weight loss.
