Am I a suitable candidate, and why?

What result is realistic for my face, skin and age?
What factors could make surgery inadvisable?

2. Surgeon and hospital

What relevant training and facelift experience do you have?
Where will the operation take place?
Who provides anaesthesia and postoperative care?
How can I verify the surgeon and facility details independently?

3. Technique and scars

Which technique do you recommend and why?
Where will incisions and scars be located?

4. Risks and possible complications

Ask about bleeding, infection, anaesthetic complications, delayed healing, scarring, asymmetry, altered sensation, hairline changes, nerve injury and the possibility of further treatment. Your surgeon should explain material risks in terms relevant to you; no outcome can be guaranteed.

5. Recovery and travel

What support will I need after surgery?
When will follow-up take place?
When might I be fit to fly, work, exercise and drive?
Which symptoms require urgent attention?

7. Aftercare and unexpected problems

Who do I contact outside normal hours?
