ABOUT

About Prof. Dr. Ahmet Seyhan

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Seyhan is an aesthetic and plastic surgeon whose career combines nearly four decades of clinical practice with a full academic professorship. Born in Ladik, Samsun in 1962, he graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1983, completed his postgraduate training there in 1985, and earned his doctorate in plastic surgery at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in 1992.

He joined Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine in 1994, becoming Associate Professor in 1999 and full Professor in 2005. He served as Head of the Plastic Surgery Department at Celal Bayar University, and remained with the faculty as a lecturer until 2011. He is a certified surgeon of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.

What distinguishes his practice is a sustained record of surgical innovation. Several of the techniques he developed — from the modified gate flap for lower lip reconstruction to his work on spreader flaps, septal extension grafts and vertical mammaplasty with en-bloc suspension — have been published in leading international journals including Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeryAnnals of Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and are taught at national and international courses where he is a regular invited speaker.

He has practised as an independent plastic surgeon in Izmir since 2011, with particular focus on rhinoplasty, breast aesthetic surgery and facial rejuvenation. His stated philosophy is that every aesthetic procedure must be individual and natural — applying the same operation to everyone produces unnatural results that satisfy no one.
