Thigh Lift Surgery in Turkey

An thigh lift, medically known as Thighplasty, is one of the most effective procedures for restoring firmer, more toned thighs by removing excess skin and stubborn fat, creating smoother, more contoured legs.

A thigh lift in Turkey starts from £3.900. Most patients fly home after 5–7 days, with their final results becoming visible over the following months and long-lasting, provided a stable weight is maintained.

THE PROCEDURE

What is a thigh lift?

A thigh lift (thighplasty) removes excess skin and, where necessary, stubborn fat from the inner and/or outer thighs to create firmer, smoother, and more contoured legs.

Unlike non-surgical skin tightening treatments, a thigh lift physically removes loose, sagging skin that cannot be improved through diet or exercise alone. The procedure is particularly effective for patients who have experienced significant weight loss or age-related skin laxity, improving thigh contours, reducing skin chafing, and helping clothing fit more comfortably.

At Revitalize in Turkey, every thigh lift is tailored to your individual anatomy, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals. Our experienced plastic surgeons use advanced techniques to minimise visible scarring while achieving natural-looking results, combining expert surgical care with the exceptional value and hospitality that have made Turkey a leading destination for cosmetic surgery.

SUITABILITY

Are you a candidate for thigh lift?

A thigh lift may be right for you if you:

  • Have loose or sagging skin on the inner or outer thighs following significant weight loss or ageing

  • Feel self-conscious about excess skin or rubbing between your thighs

  • Are close to your ideal weight and able to maintain a stable weight after surgery

  • Are in good general health and a non-smoker, or able to stop before surgery

  • Have realistic expectations about the results and recovery

Candidacy is always confirmed after a medical review of your medical history, photos, and goals. If a thigh lift alone is not the best option, we’ll honestly recommend combining it with liposuction or suggest a more appropriate treatment based on your individual needs.

RECOVERY

Thigh lift recovery timeline

Days 1–3: Rest with your legs elevated whenever possible to help reduce swelling. Mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising are expected during this period, and your dressings and any drains (if used) will be monitored by our nursing team.

Days 4–7: If drains have been placed, they are usually removed during this period. You’ll become more comfortable walking short distances while continuing to wear your compression garment. Most patients are able to fly home after 5–7 days, subject to their surgeon’s approval.

Weeks 2–6: Swelling continues to improve, and you can gradually return to normal daily activities. Strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, running, and lower body workouts should be avoided until your surgeon confirms it is safe to resume them.

Months 3–6: The thighs continue to settle into their final shape, scars gradually soften and fade, and any remaining swelling resolves. With a stable weight and healthy lifestyle, your results are long-lasting.

SAFETY FIRST

Risks & safety

A thigh lift is a well-established procedure, but like any surgery, it carries risks, which we discuss openly during your consultation. These can include swelling, bruising, temporary numbness, fluid collection (seroma), delayed wound healing, and — more rarely — bleeding, infection, blood clots, or changes in skin sensation.

We minimise these risks by performing a comprehensive pre-operative health assessment, using meticulous surgical techniques, and providing structured aftercare with 24/7 access to our medical team throughout your stay. Your surgeon will explain your individual risk profile in detail and provide personalised guidance to support a safe recovery.

ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

What is a thigh lift?

A thigh lift, also known as thighplasty, is a body contouring procedure that removes excess skin and, where necessary, stubborn fat from the thighs to create firmer, smoother, and more proportionate legs.

Who is a good candidate for a thigh lift?

The best candidates are patients with loose or sagging skin on the inner or outer thighs due to significant weight loss, ageing, or reduced skin elasticity. You should be close to your ideal weight and in good general health.

How is a thigh lift different from liposuction?

Liposuction removes excess fat but does not address loose skin. A thigh lift removes excess skin and may be combined with liposuction to improve both the contour and firmness of the thighs.

Will I have visible scars?

Yes, a thigh lift does leave scars. The location and length depend on the amount of skin being removed, but your surgeon will place incisions as discreetly as possible, often within the groin crease or along the inner thigh. Scars gradually fade over time.

Can a thigh lift be combined with other procedures?

Yes. A thigh lift is commonly combined with liposuction, a tummy tuck, body lift, or other post-weight-loss body contouring procedures to achieve more balanced results.

How long is the recovery?

Most patients can walk gently within a day or two after surgery and resume light daily activities within 2–3 weeks. Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for around 4–6 weeks or until your surgeon advises.

Will I need to wear a compression garment?

Yes. A compression garment is typically worn for several weeks to reduce swelling, support healing, and help the skin adapt to its new contours.

When will I see the final results?

You'll notice an immediate improvement in the shape of your thighs, but swelling takes time to settle. Final results are usually visible between 3 and 6 months after surgery.

Are the results permanent?

The excess skin removed during a thigh lift will not return. Maintaining a stable weight and healthy lifestyle will help preserve your results for many years, although natural ageing will continue.

Can a thigh lift improve thigh chafing?

Yes. Many patients experience a significant reduction in skin rubbing and chafing after a thigh lift, making walking, exercising, and wearing fitted clothing more comfortable.
