Arm Lift Surgery in Turkey

An arm lift, medically known as Brachioplasty, is one of the most effective procedures for restoring firmer, more toned upper arms by removing excess skin and stubborn fat, creating a smoother, more contoured arm appearance.

An arm lift in Turkey starts from £3,900. Most patients fly home after 5–7 days, with their final results becoming visible over the following months and long-lasting, provided a stable weight is maintained.

THE PROCEDURE

What is an arm lift?

An arm lift (brachioplasty) removes excess skin and, where necessary, stubborn fat from the upper arms to create a firmer, smoother, and more toned appearance.

Unlike non-surgical skin tightening treatments, an arm lift physically removes loose, sagging skin that cannot be improved through diet or exercise alone. The procedure is particularly effective for patients who have experienced significant weight loss or age-related skin laxity, restoring better arm contours and improving confidence when wearing short sleeves or fitted clothing.

At Revitalize in Turkey, every arm lift is tailored to your individual anatomy, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals. Our experienced plastic surgeons use advanced techniques to minimise visible scarring while achieving natural-looking results, combining expert surgical care with the exceptional value and hospitality that have made Turkey a leading destination for cosmetic surgery.

SUITABILITY

Are you a candidate for arm lift?

An arm lift may be right for you if you:

  • Have loose or sagging skin on the upper arms following significant weight loss or ageing

  • Feel self-conscious about excess skin or fullness in the upper arms

  • Are close to your ideal weight and able to maintain a stable weight after surgery

  • Are in good general health and a non-smoker, or able to stop before surgery

  • Have realistic expectations about the results and recovery

Candidacy is always confirmed after a medical review of your medical history, photos, and goals. If an arm lift alone is not the best option, we’ll honestly recommend combining it with liposuction or suggest a more appropriate treatment based on your individual needs.

RECOVERY

Arm lift recovery timeline

Days 1–3: Rest with your arms elevated whenever possible to help reduce swelling. Mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising are expected during this period, and your dressings and any drains (if used) will be monitored by our nursing team.

Days 4–7: If drains have been placed, they are usually removed during this period. You’ll become more comfortable carrying out light daily activities while continuing to wear your compression garment. Most patients are able to fly home after 5–7 days, subject to their surgeon’s approval.

Weeks 2–6: Swelling continues to improve, and you can gradually return to normal daily activities. Heavy lifting, upper body workouts, and strenuous exercise should be avoided until your surgeon confirms it is safe to resume them.

Months 3–6: The arms continue to settle into their final shape, scars gradually soften and fade, and any remaining swelling resolves. With a stable weight and healthy lifestyle, your results are long-lasting.

SAFETY FIRST

Risks & safety

An arm lift is a well-established procedure, but like any surgery, it carries risks, which we discuss openly during your consultation. These can include swelling, bruising, temporary numbness, fluid collection (seroma), delayed wound healing, and — more rarely — bleeding, infection, blood clots, or changes in skin sensation.

We minimise these risks by performing a comprehensive pre-operative health assessment, using meticulous surgical techniques, and providing structured aftercare with 24/7 access to our medical team throughout your stay. Your surgeon will explain your individual risk profile in detail and provide personalised guidance to support a safe recovery.

ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

Is an arm lift a weight-loss procedure?

No. An arm lift is a contouring procedure and does not replace weight-loss methods.

How long do arm lift results last?

Results are generally long-lasting if body weight remains stable, although natural ageing continues.

Will I have visible scars after an arm lift?

Yes. Scars are permanent but usually fade over time and are positioned to be as discreet as possible.

When can I return to work after an arm lift?

Many people return to non-physical work within 2–3 weeks, depending on recovery.

Can an arm lift be combined with other procedures?

Yes. It is sometimes combined with other body contouring procedures, depending on medical advice.

Is arm lift surgery painful?

Some discomfort is expected after surgery, but it is usually manageable with prescribed pain relief.
